From the paddock to your plate – discover the story behind Gundagai’s local lamb.
A special feature of the 2027 Gundagai Show, Farm Gate to Dinner Plate – The Gundagai Lamb Story will take visitors on a journey through the local lamb industry, celebrating our farmers, our region and the quality produce that makes its way from the farm to the dinner table.
Meet local producers, get up close to lambs and discover what’s involved in producing lamb from the farm gate through to the consumer. Learn more about the processing journey and how local lamb is prepared for the plate.
A very special guest will be Lambassador Sam Kekovich, who will bring his trademark passion and personality to this celebration of Australian lamb. Sam will be involved in the demonstrations, showcasing the versatility and quality of lamb and sharing the story of why Australian lamb is such an iconic part of our food culture.
With three cooking demonstration sessions throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to see local lamb transformed into delicious dishes – and even sample the results!
